With the recent influx - I've grabbed a shot of a YBW -

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hawker Hurricane (LF 363)

sounded more like a Merlin than a Hume's ! Wasn't over Ramsgate Cemetery, so probably didn't hear it properly?
